Since 1993, Mestre Marivaldo has been the musical leader and arrange of Ilê Aiyê, the oldest and most traditional afro group of the carnival in Brazil.

He is more and more called by blocos afros, samba schools or batucadas to work in Europe. The purpose of this site is to gather information about him, in order to make contacts easier for those who want to work with him... Or just to allow others to discover a small part of the rich cultural and musical heritage of Salvador de Bahia

Here you will find a short outline of his carreer until now, a presentation of the workshops he can perform, as well as the creation of shows for professional people, and of course some MP3 samples of his works with Ilê Aiyê.
